KVPY Syllabus 2019 – Check KVPY Syllabus for SA, SX, SB Stream
KVPY, “Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana” remains an enormous program which was started in the year of 1999 by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India to encourage every student into Basic Sciences and to pursue a research career in Science in the future for the development of a country. For making you more determined into the most awaited exam of the year, KVPY we have made the syllabus easily available for you.
It offers scholarship and contingency grants to the students up to their Ph.D. level, those who pursue Basic Science after their 12th Boards which is administered by the Indian Institute of Science
Determination in our goal helps us to achieve it faster, Exams like KVPY needs year-long preparation and unbroken determination. Having such a big syllabus, it might become cumbersome to cover at the last two to three months. Referring to the syllabus can support you as a student to enjoy a comparative study and grasp the concepts faster.
Studying according to it would even help you to make proper strategies.
KVPY Mark Distribution
KVPY is conducted for class 11th, 12th and 1st year undergraduates having 3 possible streams SA, SB and SX each of them having 2 parts.
- Stream SA: It is for class 11 students covering the whole science syllabus. In this, all the questions are compulsory for students.

KVPY Marking Scheme
Consisting of a total of 100 marks In part 1 of every stream, the student will be awarded 1 mark for every correct answer and 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. While in part 2 students will be awarded 2 marks for every correct answer and they will lose 0.5 marks for every wrong answer.
KVPY Syllabus
There is no accurate syllabus available at the official website but we have tried to provide with the syllabus from taking the statistics of previous year question papers and detailed shared by them. The syllabus slightly differs for all the 3 streams SA, SX and SB.
Syllabus for SA Stream
This considers the whole syllabus from starting of class 10th till class 11th and some important concepts you would be going to study in 12th. This syllabus would help you to mark your weak points and give special attention to those areas. As this, the first time students would be appearing KVPY the level of the question remains a little easy.
