The Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences Admission Test is a computer-based online test for admission to integrated degree programs offered by various Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences (BITS) across the country. BITS has its campuses at Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad.
BITSAT 2020 Syllabus
The BITS syllabus is based in CBSE NCERT syllabus for 11th and 12th standard. For admission to engineering and science courses, the candidates will have to prepare concepts from physics, chemistry, logical reasoning, English proficiency, and mathematics. For admission pharmacy courses, the candidates will have to prepare concepts from physics, chemistry, logical reasoning, English proficiency and biology.
Subject-wise BITSAT exam syllabus 2020 Highlights
Physics
The total paper will include 40 questions from 23 chapters
Most of the questions will be from current electricity, semiconductors, and laws of motions
Chemistry
The whole paper will include 40 questions from 18 major topics
The majority of questions can be expected from chemical bonding, molecular structure, equilibria, and hydrocarbons
English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning
This total of consists of 25 questions in total – 15 from English proficiency and 10 from logical reasoning
Mathematics
This section will have 45 questions from almost 20 chapters
Most of the questions can be expected from algebra, calculus, and statistics
Biology
This section consists of 45 questions from 30 chapters
Important topics will include the principle of inheritance, morphology, reproduction of animals, photosynthesis
