JEE Main Exam Centres 2020 (Released) – Complete Details
National Testing Agency is going to conduct the JEE Main 2020 Exam only in online mode, therefore the jee mains centres 2020 are going to be the computer centres. The JEE mains 2020 exam centres is the venue where the examination is going to be carried out.
The list of JEE Main 2020 centres was released with the commencement of the jee main application form registration. This year the number of jee main exam centre in India have been reduced to 233, which was 264 in the last year. But the number of the jee mains centres 2020 in abroad are same as previous years that is 9 centres.
The students can get to know about their exam location after the jee main exam centre allotment 2020 to them for the jee main exam in the admit card. The admit card all the details of the exam centre location in detail. The jee main exam centre allotment 2020 is done on the basis of the choices made by the student while filling of the application form.
JEE Mains Exam Centre – Important Points
- JEE Main examination is going to be conducted in two sessions one in January and another in April. The student is required to fill separate application form for both the sessions of the exam and therefore the examination centre should also be chosen each time.
- Students can change his preference of jee main exam centre 2020 in both the application forms.
- Total of 4 test choices according to preference of student must be filled in the application form.
- Once submitted the application form the exam centre preference cannot be changed.
- Out of the 4 choices filled in the application form NTA has the freedom to allot you any exam jee mains exam centre out of the 4 choices.
- The request for changing of exam centre will not be entertained under any circumstances.
- The details of the exam centre allotted to the student will be mentioned in the Admit Card.

Important Instructions for Students – Regarding JEE Mains 2020 Centres
- Take care while filling the exam centre choices in application form because you cannot change these choices after filling of the form.
- Fill the choices according to the facilities available from your place to reach the jee main exam centre 2020.
- Give first preference to your home town as it will make you easier to find your application form and also it will save your travelling time. There are very high chances of getting your first preference in jee main exam centre allotment 2020.
- Visit the exam centre prior to the exam slot to remove last time hassles.
- Reach your jee main 2020 centres, 1-2 hours before the start of the examination, because of document verification etc., process which happen at the exam centre.
- Choose the cities which you have proper knowledge regarding their facilities and accomodation etc.
- Reach the exam city one day before and try not to do overnight travelling. Have a good sleep before the examination.
Things to be carried and not carried to JEE Mains Exam Centre
NTA has prepared an instruction sheet regarding the code of conduct of the JEE Main Exam. Students should take care of these instructions to avoid any kind of problems. If these instructions are not followed it can lead to disqualification from exam and in severe cases it can even lead to police case. The guidelines are as follows-
- Students should report to the jee main 2020 centres at least 1.5-2 hours prior to the start of examination.
- Students should take a coloured copy of their admit card in printed form. Because without admit card no one will be allowed to enter the JEE Mains exam centre.
- Student should also carry a valid photo ID proof issued by government authorities to the jee main 2020 centres. The valid documents are – passport, driving licence, pan card, Voter ID, Aadhar Card etc.
- All the items required for drawing test for the paper-2 should be brought by the students only and nothing will be given at the exam centre.
- Students must not carry any textual material, calculator, watch, keys, printed materials, bits of paper, wallet etc., to the jee mains centres 2020.
- Diabetic students are allowed to bring some food items as well as water bottle, but the students must come with a valid medical proof.
- No electronic items like phone, microphone, pagers etc. are allowed to be carried in the jee mains 2020 exam centres.
